Dead Mangroves. Goa 2025
I stepped out of the house just as dawn was breaking, quite unusual for me and headed to Panjim 15kms away. I was heading to another film production but took a quick detour. I had seen these dead mangroves by the side of the newly widened highway and thought I’d do a quick shoot. I got a few shots before I had to head to my filming work. I know there’s something here for sure. I intend to get back for an extended time, starting at dawn.
Since moving into film (video) and particularly post-production, I sold my Fujifilm XT2. I’m now actively considering picking up a professional camera for this photography work. Particularly since, going forward, I want to print some of my work in large formats. Perhaps a Fujifilm XH2 or the XT5 along with a good longer lens (the 80mm macro perhaps). Just need some projects to fund the purchase.
