Rain. June 2025
We are most certainly into the start of the Indian monsoon. Expected to be strong this year. Meanwhile, the rain inside continues. This past month has not been bad work-wise, but the uncertainty of a creative life does loom. I’ve been reading the Daybooks of Edward Weston and take heart from the fact that even he often didn’t know where the next meal or rent money would come from. And to that end, he engaged in commercial portraiture, something he detested – it kept him away from his own photography.
