Late in the evening, I spotted this potted plant with the light from the window falling perfectly on it creating light and shadows.
A quiet interplay of nature and design, where the organic flow of the plant’s vines softens the stark, angular lines of the textured laterite wall. The ceramic pot’s maze-like patterns, bridges the two worlds—a crafted object that mimics the organic complexity of nature.
The gentle curve of the leaves seems to defy the static nature of the background, bringing a sense of movement while drawing the eye through the composition.
In black and white, the scene transforms into a study of contrasts: light and shadow, smooth and rough, organic and artificial. It’s a meditation on balance, where each element complements the other to create a moment of visual poetry.
