Gasper is an independent visual storyteller adept in areas of photojournalism and video production, equally at home with the written word, still images and moving images - whatever medium that best tells the story. He has been involved in photo-documentary, documentary films and web video journalism projects. Most work on this site has been independently produced from concept, research, field interviews, shooting and editing.

Recent key projects include features for Euronews on Education for Girls in Ludhiana, NGO Pratham's work in making India literate and the situation of child labour just an hour's drive out of Chennai, Love in Action, a documentary independently produced for Caritas Goa for their 50th Anniversary celebrations and editing and cinematography (new footage) for Staying Awake for God, a documentary film by Alexander Henn and Alito Siqueria. Current projects include freelance work for Euronews as independent producer from India and a collaboration with Nara University, Japan on a research-based documentary on folk theatre in India.
Gasper is an active member of the prestigious Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), a recognition for his authentic photojournalistic approach when shooting weddings. For wedding pj work see Aether, a brand founded by Gasper.
In 2005 he became the first photojournalist to be awarded the prestigious Dempo Research Fellowship. As part of the year-long Fellowship project, Gasper worked on a visual study of the fishing activities and community in Goa that is awaiting release in book format.
Before going the independent way, he was with the The Navhind Times, the leading English language daily in Goa, contributing feature stories as well as handling page design. During his stint with the Navhind Times he redesigned the entire newspaper with weekend magazines. He has also contributed feature images to international agencies like the Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Influenced by masters like Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sabastiao Salgado and Walker Evans, Gasper believes in the un-obtrusive documentary style photography or reportage photography. He is passionate about working in areas of social documentary.
Gasper is a product of the Jesuit brand of education having schooled at the St Mary’s High School, Mazagaon Mumbai and graduated from the St Xavier’s College, Mumbai. He lives in Calangute Goa and is happily married with three children who he personally homeschools.
