One person chooses to end his life every 5 minutes in India. That person could be anyone. Even you. Dabbling in the exciting world of making films I came up with this…
Watch the film…
Simply put, the art of film making is the arrangement of two unrelated visuals to give a third meaning. In this short, I tried to work on this basic principle, juxtapositioning shots to allude to new meaning.
Shot with the Canon 7D HD dslr camera, I used the Zoom H4n to record foley. Foley is the term used to denote the process of live recording of sound effects, which are added in post production to enhance the quality of audio for films. Here, I recorded various sounds such as pen scratching paper, ticking clock, alcohol pouring into glass etc. For more on Foley and foley artists, see this article on Wikipedia
Initially, I thought I'd go with only foley sound but later added music to enhance the mood.
The entire film was colour graded using Magic Bullet Looks.

Hey Gasper,
A great film with good technique but a sad story!
I do believe in the law of attraction, you know and I certainly believe that instead of highlighting upon the negatives in life, you as a photojournalist can do wonders bring out the positives to make this world a better place!
All the news, media and other modes of documentation see the ills in society and the same is highlighted…and we then draw more and more of the same in our lives and society!
Good work pal, you have come along way in photography and its techniques and yes, you were always a person who saw things in a different light…black and white or color!
Nice work!
