He Touched Me

Sisters of the Congregation of
Religious of Jesus and Mary (RJMs) work with young girls and women
offering them an education as well as traits that will make them
assets in homes and society.
The congregation was founded by Claudine Thevenet during the
turmoil of the French Revolution. The primary mission is the education
of young girls to equip them to become better women in their homes and
work places.

The RJMs work in slums, city schools
and far-flung villages.
In cities, the schools run by the RJMs are highly sought after,
having carved out a name for themselves. Girls are given a well
rounded education helping them to find their bearings in life. In the
interior village missions the sisters conduct regular school classes
and have boarding facilities for girls from far off villages who would
otherwise have no opportunity for an education.
At the center of their vocation is a
deep love for God and a desire to make his love known throughout the
world.
