Journey through Time

The former Portuguese enclave of Goa
is famous for its quaint old Portuguese-style houses dotting the
fields and the long lonely stretches of country roads.
These mansions, commonly painted in
indigo, bright yellow or rust with a combination of white for contrast
are a beauty to behold, enchanting tourists from all over the world.

However, in a disturbing trend, many
original owners are choosing to tear down these bungalows and move to
modern flats. High cost of maintenance as well as family feuds are
factors that contribute to this trend.
In many other cases, owners simply
abandon homes and migrate to foreign lands. Left to their own
resources, these houses put up a brave front against the onslaught of
time. But that fight is futile and sooner or later the elements lay
claim to the abandoned homes. Call it entropy.
Journey through Time is a haunting
progression of a story as a conversation with one such old run-down
ghostly mansion, told using poetry to complement visuals.
