In Remembrance

Humans are the only beings that try to cling on to the dead even after they are gone. They build tombs that state "In Everloving Memory".

 But as time goes by, that memory too begins to fade until all that remains is the fading letters on stone. But death is just a process of change. Everything dies to create new life. The wheat grain dies and gives rise to a field. Animals die and give rise to fertile soil where plants grow. So also our bodies change into nutrients for other creatures and vegetation.

Our souls on the other hand pass off to a new life. To cling on to this body and indeed, to cling on to the dead is futile...
